Traditional CO2 treatments however have long been associated with considerable downtime. What is CoolPeel?
CoolPeel is a brand new way to safely, and comfortably deliver the benefits of a traditional CO2 resurfacing treatment. By targeting just the superficial layer of skin tissue, damaged skin is removed revealing younger and healthier-looking skin.
What Makes CoolPeel different?

How Does CoolPeel work?
CoolPeel laser treatment can only be done using the SmartXide CO2 laser. Recovery After CoolPeel Laser:

You should expect to be a little red, as if you have a sunburn, for a day, or two, but nothing should prevent you from returning to your normal daily activities. What are the side effects of CoolPeel laser treatments?
The secret to CoolPeel is that the Tetra laser delivers high energy, but it does so in extremely short pulses. This eliminates the problems with lingering heat and damage to the surrounding skin. Because of that, CoolPeel delivers ablative type results with total comfort and without the downtime.
The only real risk of side effects is the potential for hyper- or hypopigmentation for patients with olive or brown skin. This is true of any laser treatment.
Are CoolPeel laser treatments considered safe?
Yes, these treatments are completely safe. They have been cleared by the FDA. Since CoolPeel is the newest fractional ablative treatment, at Jeunesse Spa and Skin Care we’ve been impressed at how well patients tolerate them. As mentioned above, patients have some redness, similar to moderate sunburn, for a day or two. And the skin can feel a little dry and scaly as it heals, but those issues are easily addressed with skin lotion.
How long after my CoolPeel treatment will I see my results?
You will start noticing improvements after one week. The collagen production has been stimulated, and your skin resurfacing has begun. You will see real improvements as your outermost layers of damaged, dull skin cells are shed and replaced with younger, healthy cells. Texture issues, sun damage, age spots and pigmentation, overall dull skin — these will all improve dramatically beginning after about a week. Your new, healthier skin will continue to reveal itself moving forward.
2. SECRET RF MICRONEEDLING
What is Secret RF microneedling?
Secret RF is a skin rejuvenation treatment that combines microneedling and radiofrequency to improve skin tone and texture, with minimal downtime. Developed by Cutera, it can address fine lines, mild wrinkles, stretch marks (striae), acne scars, photodamage like hyperpigmentation, and other skin conditions on the face, neck, and body. It works by remodeling existing collagen and kick-starting your skin's natural development of new collagen, for firmer, more supple and evenly toned skin over time.
During a treatment, microneedles penetrate the dermis and deliver fractional radiofrequency energy into the lower layers of subdermal tissue, at various depths. This triggers a healing response, which stimulates new collagen production and accelerates cell regeneration.

25-pin or 64-pin tip: The narrower, 25-pin tip is ideal for use in small, delicate areas. The wider, 64-pin tip can cover larger areas more quickly.
Non-insulated or semi-insulated needles: Needles without insulation deliver heat along their full length, through all layers of the skin, while semi-insulated needles radiate heat from only their tips, embedded deep in the skin.
0.5–3.5 penetration depth: Shorter needles can target more superficial concerns, like shallow acne scars, fine lines, or stretch marks. Longer needles can reach deeper into the skin, to trigger a boost in skin-tightening collagen production.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the skin, providing structure and keeping skin firm and supple. Production slows in our 20s and 30s, leading to wrinkles and sagging. RF microneedling treatments like SecretRF help reverse this process, while addressing a range of other tone and texture concerns.
To see optimal results, most people need a series of three to four treatments, every four to six weeks.
What happens during a Secret RF procedure?
A single treatment session takes about 60 minutes. First we apply a numbing cream, to minimize discomfort from the needle pricks and heat.
Once the treatment area is numb, we will move the Secret RF handpiece and single-use needle tip across your skin, pressing in the tip to create micro injuries. As the needles deliver the RF energy, you may feel some pressure and some mild zapping, but it's not typically painful.
After your treatment, you might have a little pinpoint bleeding, redness, and slight swelling for up to 24 hours.
The key to treatments like Secret RF microneedling, which purposely create injuries to trigger a healing response, is that the trauma is completely controlled. The needles should not tear the skin, and the heat should not burn it.
Insulated needles are less likely to cause damage because they heat only the subdermal tissue, the deeper layers of skin below the surface. “By bypassing the epidermis, the risks of heat damage, burns, blisters, and pigmentation are all but eliminated, making this safe and effective for all skin types.
